July 2024 Recap

July has been a month full of activities and achievements for me. Each step has made me feel the support of the community and my own growth.

July 3rd: I had an important meeting with the New School for Democracy to discuss plans for hosting transgender events this fall. This meeting opened up many possibilities and filled me with anticipation for the future events.

July 9th: I was interviewed for a PhD research project funded by the University of Mississippi. This interview not only gave me the opportunity to share my experiences but also made me feel the academic community’s attention to transgender issues.

July 11th: I met with other transgender DJs to discuss future fundraising ideas for ISTScare. The meeting was full of creativity and enthusiasm, and we explored many interesting ideas together, looking forward to bringing more support to the community.

July 15th: I was interviewed again for a PhD research project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (UK), conducted by Cas Sutherland. This interview made me think more deeply about my identity and experiences, and strengthened my determination to promote transgender issues.

July 27th: I DJ’d for the second time at Trif Trans Bar during the Transgender & Nonbinary Party (T&N Party), co-hosted by Trif Trans Bar, Taiwan Non-Binary Queer Sluts, Queer Margins, and New Bloom Magazine. This performance was very meaningful to me, not only as a musical challenge but also as an opportunity to connect with the community. Seeing everyone resonate with the music made me feel incredibly fulfilled and moved.

In July, I took around 10 hotline calls on HRT inquiry, military related issues, and parents issues for transgender community.
